PARIVISION claimed their first major tournament victory at ESL One Bangkok 2024, defeating The International (TI) 2024 champions Team Liquid in a compelling 3-1 grand finals on December 15. The win earned them $300,000 from the tournament’s $1 million prize pool.
This victory marks a remarkable achievement for PARIVISION, who formed just two months ago in October. Their performance throughout the tournament demonstrated consistent excellence, becoming the first team to qualify for the Playoffs during the Group Stage’s second day.
PARIVISION’s path to victory included defeating AVULUS in the upper bracket semifinals and overcoming BetBoom Team in the upper bracket finals, showcasing their dominance throughout the tournament structure.
On the other hand, Team Liquid‘s journey to the finals showcased resilience despite a challenging start. After a 1-3 record on day one of the Group Stage, they improved to 4-6, barely securing a lower bracket position. Their subsequent lower bracket run included decisive victories over Shopify Rebellion, Team Falcons, Team Spirit, and BetBoom Team.
The grand finals began promisingly for Liquid with a game one victory. However, PARIVISION’s response was emphatic, securing three consecutive wins to claim the championship. This victory, combined with their Top 4 finishes in four previous events, establishes PARIVISION as a rising force in competitive Dota 2.
ESL One Bangkok 2024, held from December 9-15, served as the year’s final major Dota 2 tournament. Team Liquid secured second place and $175,000 in prize money, concluding an eventful tournament that featured some of the world’s premier Dota 2 teams.
