PARAVOX Championship International: A $130,000 LATAM Showdown

Singapore-based esports developer 81Ravens has officially announced a major esports tournament for its upcoming free-to-play PC game, PARAVOX, a fast-paced 3v3 arena shooter.

The tournament, called the “PARAVOX Championship International” (PCI), will feature three regional qualifiers, covering Japan, Southeast Asia (SEA), and Latin America (LATAM).

The LATAM tournament promises intense competition as top-tier teams from across the region battle for a share of the $130,000 prize pool.

The event kicks off with an Open Qualifier on November 17, 2024, where players from across the LATAM region can participate. The top two teams from this qualifier will join pre-invited professional esports teams in the online playoffs, scheduled for November 23rd and 24th.

The grand finale will take place during the Japan Global Tournament in Tokyo on December 21-22, 2024.

To build excitement for the tournament, 81Ravens will also release special team collaboration skins for some of the invited teams. Fans can expect exclusive skins for popular teams such as LOUD, MIBR, w7m esports, and RED Canids Kalunga.

The PCI tournament has already begun its journey in the SEA region. The Singapore Server Open Qualifiers saw teams like GamingGrid Esports and Mokurr secure their places in the SEA Playoffs, which will take place on October 27, 2024. The SEA regional finals in December will offer a $68,000 prize pool, and also happen during the Japan Global Tournament.

Players who wish to participate in PCI must go through a selection process. This includes analyzing player performance data such as weapon preferences, win rates, and overall gameplay. Professional teams can then use this data to select players and form competitive teams.

The PCI comes after the success of the PARAVOX Gold Rush Tournament (PGRT), which took place in Tokyo on July 31, 2024. The PGRT attracted 23 participating teams and a staggering 500,000 viewers. Thailand’s team FULL SENSE claimed victory in this event, which had a prize pool of 100 million yen.

PARAVOX itself is a third-person shooter developed by 81Ravens. The game emphasizes fast-paced, skill-based gameplay, where teams must strategically capture and defend key areas in a mode called “Strikepoint.” Success requires a blend of smart tactics, perfect timing, and precise control over the characters. With regular updates, the game offers new challenges, and players can track their progress through in-game career features.

PARAVOX is available on the Epic Games Store, with a Steam release planned soon. The game will also feature NFT skins through the Oasys blockchain, adding an extra layer of excitement for players looking to customize their characters.
