One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide since its release in March 2020. The action-adventure game, which brings the popular manga and anime series to life, continues to attract players across multiple platforms.

Building on this success, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced plans to bring the game to next-generation consoles. As per the company’s announcement, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are in development, with existing PS4 and Xbox One owners eligible for a free upgrade.

The game, developed by Omega Force, lets players experience the adventures of Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew through intense “Musou” battles featuring massive groups of enemies.

According to SteamDB statistics, the PC version has maintained a strong community presence with a 91% positive rating from over 19,000 reviews. The game reached a peak of 9,219 concurrent players at launch and continues to maintain a steady player base of 500-600 users.

Bandai Namco is actively engaging with its community through a user survey running until February 28. This survey gives fans the opportunity to influence future content by voting for up to three characters from a selection of 23 to be added in upcoming DLC packs. Players need a Bandai Namco ID to participate in the survey.

The game’s upcoming next-generation versions will include all previously released downloadable content, offering new players a complete package of the One Piece experience. Currently, PC players can grab the game at a 75% discount on Steam, priced at just $9.99.

This success story adds to Omega Force’s recent achievements, as their latest title Dynasty Warriors: Origins, published by Koei Tecmo, recently hit one million sales within its first month of release.
