Former NFL player Morgan Kane has officially launched a new mobile game studio named Marauder Tech. The studio operates fully remotely and aims to lead the way in next-generation mobile game development.
Kane is joined by Joel Balyeat, former senior producer at Activision, who now serves as Marauder Tech’s Chief Product Officer (CPO). Together, they bring a blend of leadership, experience, and passion to the growing team.
In a post, Kane shared the origins of the studio, saying, “Marauder Tech started as an idea more than a decade ago. I’ve always enjoyed strategy games, but at the time, I didn’t have the resources available to start a game studio. In April 2023, I decided to hire my first developer, and now, more than a year later, we’re ready to start slowly lifting the veil of what we’ve been working on for the past year and a half.”
Balyeat added, “Our goal with Marauder’s maiden title is to provide a unique take on the turn-based genre. Players should be able to enjoy the game anytime, anywhere, without feeling pressured by strict time constraints.”
Marauder Tech is a self-funded studio with a diverse team of 22 remote staff members. They are currently developing their first title, Price of Glory, a turn-based strategy mobile game set to launch later this year on both Android and iOS platforms.
