Netflix is bringing WWE wrestling action to your phone. The streaming giant announced Thursday that WWE 2K will join its mobile games collection in Fall 2025, making it the latest addition to Netflix’s expanding gaming library.
WWE superstar CM Punk shared the news in a video announcement, promising fans an “extreme, intense, and dominant WWE experience” they can enjoy anywhere. While the exact details aren’t public yet, the game appears to be specially designed for mobile devices rather than a direct port of WWE 2K25. Industry analysts suggest this will likely be a mobile-specific adaptation of the WWE 2K franchise, similar to how Football Manager has successfully created distinct experiences for mobile and console platforms. This approach allows developers to optimize the gameplay for mobile devices while maintaining the core elements that fans love.

This move further strengthens Netflix’s presence in gaming, as the company continues expanding partnerships with major publishers like Take-Two Interactive (parent company of 2K Games) and Capcom. This led to the addition of Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, Civilization VI, and Street Fighter IV in recent times.
The streaming service is also developing mobile games based on their original shows, including “Ginny & Georgia” and “Sweet Magnolias.” The company has seen significant success in this space, particularly with the release of Squid Game: Unleashed, which is on track to become Netflix’s most downloaded game ever, surpassing GTA: San Andreas.
Netflix Games currently offers more than 120 mobile games at no extra cost to subscribers. To play, you’ll just need an active Netflix subscription and either an Android device (version 8.0+) or an iPhone/iPad (iOS/iPadOS 15+) with an internet connection to download the games.
In related news, WWE 2K25 launches this March on multiple platforms. The release is tiered based on edition choices: The premium Deadman Edition ($100) and Bloodline Edition ($130) grant early access on March 7, while the Standard Edition launches on March 14. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
