Good news for women Fortnite players! The Milk Cup is coming back in 2025, offering an impressive $300,000 prize pool for competitors across the United States. Players will battle it out in Fortnite Duos and Build competitions through a mix of online and in-person events throughout the year.
Tournament operator Raidiant is running the show again, with key backing from Gonna Need Milk, popular Fortnite creator ThePeachCobbler, and agency Moonrock. After last year’s successful debut, the competition is shaping up to be even bigger this time around.
WOTE (Women of the eRena) owner eFuse has confirmed they will participate in this year’s tournament, according to The Esports Advocate. However, specific details about their involvement will be announced later. ThePeachCobbler, who helped create the original competition in 2024 alongside Gonna Need Milk, has already begun promoting the 2025 event on social media.
Looking at the schedule, Series 1 kicks off with qualifiers on April 24, followed by the Main Event on May 1. Series 2 qualifiers begin July 3, with its Main Event on July 10. The Series 3 starts with qualifiers on August 14 and wraps up with the Main Event on August 21. Everything builds toward a Fall LAN Championship to crown the ultimate winner, though we’re still waiting to hear the exact location for these in-person events.
The format is straightforward – the top 50 teams from each qualifier advance to their respective Main Events based on points. From there, the top 15 teams from the first two Main Events move forward, while the top 20 from Series 3 make the cut for the championship.
As for the prize pool, each Main Event has a $30,000 prize pool (totaling $90,000 across all three). The big bucks come at the LAN Championship, where $210,000 is up for grabs. The champions will pocket a cool $78,000, with second place taking $38,000 and third place earning $19,000. Teams placing 4th through 26th will also get a slice of the remaining prize money.
Interested participants can register through the Gonna Need Milk Discord channel, with additional information available on the official website.
A new addition this year is the Milk Cup Academy, designed to train and mentor up-and-coming women Fortnite players. The academy offers coaching from pros like ThePeachCobbler, competitive training sessions, wellness support, and special prizes.
“The Milk Cup Academy is a game-changer,” says ThePeachCobbler. “So many talented women just need the right guidance and opportunity. This program gives them both.” You can catch the academy’s content on the official Milk Cup Twitch channel.
Behind it all is Gonna Need Milk, run by the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), a Washington D.C. organization funded by America’s milk companies. Through this tournament, they’re putting the spotlight on women in esports while spreading the word about milk’s nutritional value to a wider audience.
