FIFAe Finals 2024 featuring eFootball concluded with spectacular victories for Malaysia and Indonesia at the SEF Arena in BLVD City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The two-week tournament, which ended on December 12, marked several historical firsts in competitive gaming.

The tournament introduced eFootball competitions in both mobile and console formats, featuring a total prize pool of $450,000.

In the mobile categoryMalaysian player Minbappe (Ahmad Muhaimin Bin Abd Razak) secured a memorable victory against Morocco’s AN10_Tienes (Anass Moussa) in an intense final match. This competition was particularly notable as it represented the first-ever FIFAe World Cup played on mobile devices, with 16 nations participating in the 1v1 format.

The console tournament saw even broader participation, with 18 nations competing in a 2v2 formatIndonesia emerged victorious, with their team comprising akbarpaudie, BINONGBOYS, SHNKS-ELGA, and GARUDAFRANC. They demonstrated exceptional teamwork and strategic prowess, particularly in their challenging final match against Brazil.

After their historic win, the Indonesian team expressed their gratitude, stating, “We put everything we had into becoming world champions at the FIFAe World Cup 2024™, and it is very special for us to have won the title.” Similarly, mobile champion Minbappe credited his success to his support system, including his teammates, family, and the Football Association of Malaysia.

The tournament was hosted in collaboration with the Saudi Esports Federation, featuring eight days of intense competition. Beyond the matches, the event included various fan activities and engagement opportunities, helping to build a stronger connection between digital and traditional sports communities.

This competition represents a significant milestone for eFootball™, Konami’s rebranded version of the popular PES gaming series. The free-to-play platform has achieved remarkable success, accumulating over 800 million downloads worldwide.

The FIFAe Finals 2024 is the second FIFAe event of this year after the inaugural FIFAe Next Gen event in Liverpool, England, which included the first-ever FIFAe World Cup featuring Football Manager, alongside the FIFAe Fame Your Game Cup.
