MOONTON Games has unveiled its first esports competition for Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG), their newly launched multiplayer auto battler game in the Asia Pacific region. The tournament will welcome 512 players to compete for a prize pool of $5,100.

The inaugural “Magic Chess: Go Go Indonesia Community Tournament” is scheduled to run from March 7th to March 16th through an online format.

According to tournament organizers, while most matches will be played online, the semifinals and finals will feature special live broadcasts on March 14th-16th.

MOONTON Games further announced that the top 16 participants interested in streaming will receive dedicated support to boost their livestream traffic after the tournament concludes. This initiative, as per company representatives, aims to nurture the growing MCGG community.

Indonesian players can register for the competition between February 27th and March 4th through the tournament’s official website.

The game, which exists within the universe of the popular Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, is now available for both iOS and Android users across eight Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

MCGG Producer Gao ‘Skyhook’ Chong expressed optimism about the game’s competitive future. “The single-player format significantly reduces participation barriers compared to other esports titles,” he explained. “Our focus on skill, strategy, and real-time decision-making creates an environment where anyone can become a champion.”

The company plans to gradually expand MCGG tournaments throughout Southeast Asia, beginning with this Indonesian Community Tournament.
