Riot Games has confirmed that the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2025 will take place at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada, from June 27 to July 12, 2025.
This marks the return of a major League of Legends esports to Canada, the first since the 2017 North American League Championship Series (NA LCS) Spring Finals, which were also held at the same venue.
The Pacific Coliseum, located in Hastings Park, boasts over 90,000 square feet of exhibition space and a seating capacity of 15,000 to 17,000, depending on the setup.
It’s a historic venue, having hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics’ Short Track Speed Skating and Figure Skating events, and now it’s set to welcome the world’s top LoL teams.
MSI 2025 will feature ten teams—two from each of the five major regions:
- League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK)
- League of Legends Pro League (LPL)
- League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC)
- League of Legends Championship of The Americas (LTA)
- League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP)
The tournament will follow a two-stage format: a Play-In Stage with four teams competing in a GSL-style setup, where the top two advance, followed by a Bracket Stage with eight teams in a double-elimination bracket.
All matches will be best-of-five and use the Fearless Draft system, where champions can only be picked once per series.
The event offers a $2 million USD prize pool, and the winner secures a spot at the 2025 World Championship, with the two best-performing regions earning additional Worlds slots.
Tickets go on sale soon—general sales start March 27, at 10 a.m. PDT, with a second wave on May 29, 2025. Mastercard holders get presale access on March 26 and May 28.
