Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Breaks Into Steam’s Top 10 Most-Played Single-Player Games

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on Steam

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has achieved two major milestones on Steam, breaking into both the top 10 most-played single-player games and the top 50 games overall based on peak player counts.

The medieval RPG sequel drew an impressive 256,206 concurrent players over its launch weekend, securing the tenth position among Steam’s most popular single-player titles. This achievement places it in distinguished company, joining the ranks of gaming giants like Black Myth: Wukong, Cyberpunk 2077, and Hogwarts Legacy. According to SteamDB data, the game successfully pushed out 2024’s Dragon’s Dogma 2, which had peaked at 228,585 players.

In the broader context of Steam’s overall rankings, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has claimed the 49th position among all games on the platform. This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy considering the fierce competition from multiplayer-focused titles that typically dominate these rankings.

The sequel’s success becomes even more impressive when compared to its predecessor. The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, released in 2018, peaked at 96,069 concurrent players – less than half of what the sequel has achieved. The new release has also displayed strong commercial performance, selling one million copies within its first 24 hours, a milestone that took the original game two weeks to reach.

Looking at the single-player rankings, Black Myth: Wukong leads the pack with an extraordinary 2.4 million concurrent players which they achieved last year beating Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.05 million. Bethesda maintains a strong presence in this category, with three titles – Fallout 4, Starfield, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – all securing positions in the top ten.

As of February 10, 2025, the top 10 single-player games on Steam are:

  • Black Myth: Wukong – 2,415,714 players
  • Cyberpunk 2077 – 1,054,388 players
  • Hogwarts Legacy – 879,308 players
  • Fallout 4 – 472,962 players
  • Life Is Strange 2 – 468,717 players
  • Kathy Rain – 348,015 players
  • Starfield – 330,723 players
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – 287,411 players
  • Kholat – 272,019 players
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – 256,206 players

With post-launch updates and a roadmap in place, industry analysts suggest the game’s momentum may continue to build, as single-player titles often reach their peak concurrent players during their second weekend after release.
