The sixth edition of the Indian Gaming Expo (IGX), originally planned for January 24 and 25 at Mumbai’s Nesco Grounds, has been postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances.” In a statement, the organizers expressed their apologies for the delay and assured attendees that updates on the new schedule and relevant details would be shared soon.
Although the exact reasons were not disclosed by IGX, gaming analyst Rishi Alwani reported that the event was postponed due to a lack of police permissions and a political rally set to take place on the same dates.
Tickets for the event, priced at ₹499 on Zomato Live, remain available on the website. However, no details have been provided about refunds for ticket holders who may not attend on the rescheduled dates.
IGX is organized by Hungama, a well-known digital entertainment company, and Eva Live, an event company. They have partnered with Skyesports, a top esports tournament organizer, to host an exciting multi-game esports tournament with a ₹30 lakh prize pool.
In addition to esports, IGX 2025 also promises a cosplay competition showcasing India’s top 50 cosplayers with ₹8 lakh in prizes.
Panel discussions, meet-and-greet sessions, GEM Awards, workshops, and gaming art installations are the highlights of the event.
Visitors can also expect collectibles, merchandise, retro games, and more. With over 250 brands, 50 exhibitors, and 30,000 attendees anticipated, the event aims to offer a memorable experience for gaming enthusiasts.
