Level Infinite Announces $15 Million Investment in Honor of Kings Esports for 2025

Level Infinite has revealed major plans for Honor of Kings esports in 2025, announcing a substantial $15 million investment during the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 finals. James Yang, Senior Director at Level Infinite Global, shared details about the upcoming year’s competitive structure.

Global Tournament Schedule

The year’s competitive calendar features three major international tournaments:

  • Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 – February 2025
  • Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC) at Esports World Cup (EWC) – July 2025
  • HOK International Championship – November 2025

The first global tournament of 2025, the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3, is currently underway in Manila, Philippines (February 21 – March 1). Teams qualified through various regional qualifiers including Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Europe, MENA, JPDR, and a Wildcard Qualifier.

According to Level Infinite, the Honor of Kings World Cup at the Esports World Cup will feature 18 teams from around the globe.

Seven Regional Professional Leagues

A major focus for 2025 will be the establishment of seven regional professional leagues across the world:

1. Philippines Kings League (KPL) – Spring (April) and Fall (August)

  • Partnered teams include: Boom Esports, Blacklist International, Team Flash, Eureka, TNT Tropang Alab
  • Structure: 8 teams (5 partnered, 3 open)

2. Malaysia Kings League (MKL) – Spring (April) and Fall (August)

  • Partnered teams include: Team Secret, Nova Esports, Black Shrew Esports, Todak
  • Structure: 8 teams (4 partnered, 4 open)

3. Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL) – Spring (April) and Fall (August)

  • Partnered teams include: RRQ, Bigetron Esports, Onic Esports, Dominator Esports, Kagendra, Mahadewa, Alter Ego, Talon
  • Structure: 10 teams (8 partnered, 2 open)

4. Wildcard Kings League (WKS) – Spring (April) and Fall (August)

  • Covering Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Brunei, Timor-Leste, Hong Kong, and Macau
  • Partnered teams include: Impunity, Paradise Esports, See You Soon
  • Structure: 8 teams (6 partnered, 2 open)

5. Major East League (KME) – Spring (April) and Fall (August)

  • Covering Korea, Japan, MENA, Southeast Asia
  • Partnered teams include: Gen.G, Nongshim Redforce, Crazy Racoon
  • Structure: 7 teams (4 partnered, 3 open)

6. Major West League (KMW) – Spring (April) and Fall (August)

  • Covering Americas, CIS, Europe, Turkey
  • Partnered teams include: OG, Next Rüya, Virtus.pro, 9z Team
  • Structure: 7 teams (4 partnered, 3 open)

7. Brazil Championship (CHOKBR) – Spring (May) and Fall (September)

  • Oldest regional leagues started in 2023
  • Partnered teams include: Alpha7 Esports, Loops, E1 Sports, Corinthians, Influence Rage
  • Structure: 8 teams (5 partnered, 3 open)

Grassroots Development

Level Infinite is also focusing on grassroots development with two key initiatives:

  • HOK Open Series – Running over two splits with more than 150,000 player sign-ups already recorded.
  • HOK Campus Series (KCS) – A global competition featuring 92 participating regions and countries competing for a $100,000 prize pool.

These tournaments aim to develop new talent and broaden the competitive ecosystem for Honor of Kings esports worldwide.
