Garena has revealed its exciting plans for Free Fire Esports in 2025, featuring 12 tournaments regional and international competitions.
Building on the success of 2024’s tournaments, the 2025 season will kick off in February with pre-season events.
In mid-2025, The Esports World Cup will bring together top teams from around the world in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This tournament holds special significance following the remarkable success of the previous edition.
The year will conclude with the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals in November, which traditionally features the highest level of Free Fire competition.
The competitive structure spans five major regions, each with its own schedule and qualification pathways:
Southeast Asia (SEA)
- A pre-season event kicks off in February
- Spring season runs from April to June
- Fall season takes place from August to October
Brazil
- February starts with a pre-season event
- Season 2 (Spring) runs April through July
- Season 3 (Fall) spans August to October
Latin America (LATAM)
- Esports World Cup qualifier from April to June
- FFWS LATAM competition between August and October
Middle East and Africa (MEA)
- Mid-Season Clash scheduled for April to June
- FFWS MEA tournament from August to October
Pakistan
- First local qualifier: April to June
- Second local qualifier: August to October
The pre-season FFWS events in Southeast Asia and Brazil are set to give teams valuable competitive experience early in the season.
The 2025 season builds upon an impressive 2024, where each major international tournament boasts a $1 million prize pool. The most recent FFWS Global Finals in Rio, Brazil, showcased the game’s competitive depth, with Brazilian powerhouse Fluxo Esports claiming victory and Indonesia’s RRQ securing second place.
