UK-based game developer Fusebox Games has joined hands with Banijay Rights, a global distribution company, to create mobile games inspired by the popular reality shows Big Brother and its Indian counterpart, Bigg Boss.
These games aim to bring the excitement of the shows to fans in an interactive format and are expected to launch in 2025.
The Big Brother game will likely cater to audiences in the US and Europe, while the Bigg Boss game will focus on the Indian market.
In the Bigg Boss game, players can create customized avatars and experience storylines inspired by the show. Features like live events, branching narratives, and localized content in Hindi and other regional Indian languages will ensure the game resonates with the show’s massive Indian fan base.
Fusebox Games is known for its expertise in creating such interactive story-driven games. Its flagship title, Love Island: The Game, based on the globally popular TV series, has seen great success in markets like the US, UK, Australia, and Canada.
Notably, Fusebox was acquired by India-based Nazara Technologies in August 2024 for $27.2 million, further strengthening its resources and market reach. Currently, the studio has around 30 employees.
Fusebox CEO Terry Lee expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Bigg Boss is a cultural phenomenon in India, and we are thrilled to reimagine it as an interactive experience for fans to enjoy in new ways.” He emphasized the importance of localized content and the studio’s commitment to delivering compelling gaming experiences that resonate with audiences globally.
Mark Woollard, SVP of Gaming and Gambling at Banijay Rights, shared similar enthusiasm, highlighting how Bigg Boss and Big Brother have captured millions of hearts worldwide. “This partnership with Nazara and Fusebox Games opens exciting new opportunities for fans to connect with these iconic brands,” he added.
What are your thoughts on the new game? I’m curious to hear what you think!
