The latest entry in the farming simulation genre, Farming Simulator 25, has reached an impressive milestone of 3 million copies sold worldwide since its November 12, 2024 release across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms.
Developed by Swiss company GIANTS Software, the game sold over two million copies in just the first week of its release. Steam players showed particular enthusiasm, with the platform recording 125,000 concurrent players on release day – setting a new record for the franchise. At the time of writing, it reached a peak of 36,704 in the last 24 hours as per SteamDB.
This impressive performance builds upon the series’ already strong foundation. According to industry analytics platform VG Insights, the game has generated $33.7 million in gross revenue through Steam sales alone. Another market analysis service, Gamalytic, provides a broader estimate, suggesting Steam revenues between $21 million and $51 million, though GIANTS Software has not officially confirmed these figures.
This success has contributed significantly to the franchise’s overall performance, with the developers confirming that the entire Farming Simulator series has now surpassed 40 million copies sold globally.
The game’s exceptional sales momentum marks a significant achievement for the Swiss developers, establishing Farming Simulator 25 as the fastest-selling title in the franchise’s history.
