The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has revealed the 40 teams selected for its 2025 Club Partner Program.
The announcement, made on March 17, marks a significant development for the upcoming Esports World Cup (EWC) scheduled to take place this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The program offers substantial financial support, with a dedicated $20 million prize pool. Each participating team can potentially earn up to $1 million in funding based on their performance and engagement. This money can help teams expand their brands, create content campaigns, and even enter new esports titles.
“The EWCF Club Partner Program is a cornerstone of our mission to build a sustainable future for esports Clubs worldwide while creating opportunities for organizations from some of the world’s fastest-growing markets,” said Faisal Bin Homran, Chief Product Officer at the Esports World Cup Foundation.
This year nearly 200 organizations applied for spots in the program. Out of these, 32 were newly selected teams, while eight earned direct invitations based on their performance in the 2024 Club Championship.
Among the selected teams are established powerhouses like Team Liquid, Fnatic, and T1. The program also features a notable increase in Chinese representation, with six teams from China making the cut, including All Gamers, Bilibili Gaming, and Edward Gaming. Other regions like Japan, India, and Latin America also saw increased representation, highlighting the program’s global reach.
Rob Moore, CEO of Sentinels, one of the newly added North American teams, expressed enthusiasm about joining the program: “As one of the fastest growing esports organizations in North America, we are delighted to join the EWCF Club Partner Program.”

The Role of Club Partners in EWC 2025
Participating teams will play a key role in promoting the Esports World Cup through content creation and marketing efforts. In return, they receive financial and operational support to strengthen their brand both regionally and internationally.
Beyond base funding, teams can earn additional rewards through merit-based activities and promotional campaigns leading up to EWC 2025.
The 40 partner clubs collectively reach over 300 million fans, producing behind-the-scenes content, player documentaries, and live fan experiences to engage audiences worldwide.
While membership in the Club Partner Program offers valuable benefits, it does not guarantee a direct Esports World Cup 2025 slot. Each team must qualify through official pathways to compete in their respective titles.
The Esports World Cup 2025 will feature 24 games, including popular titles like League of Legends, Valorant, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Counter-Strike 2, Chess, and Rocket League. More games are still to be announced. The event will take place in July and August in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
