Keen Games has officially unveiled the 2025 roadmap for Enshrouded, promising a wealth of new content and updates that will enhance the player experience. Since its early access launch in January 2024, the survival crafting game has gained immense popularity, attracting over 3 million players on Steam. One of the most significant announcements in the roadmap is the long-awaited console release. Enshrouded is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in Spring 2026, coinciding with the release of version 1.0 as the game exits early access.
Currently available on PC via Steam for $29.99, Enshrouded has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from players. The game has maintained a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with an active player base of 10,000 to 20,000 concurrent users over the last three months. At its peak, the game reached over 160,000 players a year ago, highlighting its strong appeal within the survival crafting genre.
Exciting New Features in 2025
The 2025 roadmap outlines 36 upcoming features, demonstrating Keen Games’ commitment to expanding Enshrouded’s gameplay. A key focus is community-driven content, including the introduction of Base Raid Islands. This new endgame feature is designed to encourage large-scale cooperative play, potentially integrating MMORPG-style mechanics to enhance teamwork and strategy.
Another major highlight is the addition of Creative Mode, catering to players who enjoy Enshrouded’s intricate base-building system. While some players have used mods to access unlimited resources, the official Creative Mode will provide a refined and optimized experience for builders.
Keen Games is also enhancing user-generated content features, enabling players to capture and share their in-game moments. New recording tools, multiple camera angles, and visual filters will allow players to share their architectural creations and intense battles with greater detail and creativity.
Social interactions within the game are set to improve as well. The recent Pact of Flame update introduced emotes, proximity chat, and text chat features, strengthening player communication. Future updates will further expand these social elements.
Players can also anticipate three new biomes, improved gameplay mechanics, enhanced enemy AI, and additional customization options.
Despite the many improvements, some highly requested features are still absent from the roadmap. Players have been asking for mounts, functional villagers, and better item storage solutions, such as labeling systems. While these features have not been confirmed, Keen Games has shown a strong track record of responding to community feedback, so there is hope that these additions may arrive in future updates.
