EA has announced the shutdown of EA Sports UFC Mobile 2, just three years after its release in 2022. The game will officially go offline on March 13th, 2025, with support ending across all devices. Additionally, updates to the game’s online services will cease.
Players can continue enjoying all current game modes until the shutdown date. However, after March 13th, they will lose access to all game-related data and content. EA also clarified that refunds will not be provided unless required by specific regional laws.
According to data from AppMagic, EA Sports UFC Mobile 2 achieved 47.5 million downloads across the App Store and Google Play, generating $3.2 million in revenue, with $2.2 million as net profit.
In a heartfelt statement, EA expressed gratitude to its players: “We couldn’t have come this far without your dedication and love. We hope you enjoy your remaining time with the game, and if you’d like to continue the fight, check out EA Sports UFC 5 Ultimate Edition.”
The company acknowledged the difficulty of the decision, adding, “Retiring game services is never easy. We’ve invested significant time in creating these games, and you’ve invested even more time in playing them. It’s tough to say goodbye, and we thank you for your support over the years.”
This closure is part of a broader trend for EA, which has been scaling back its mobile gaming portfolio. Previously, the company shut down titles like Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile. Additionally, games such as MLB Tap Sports Baseball, F1 Mobile Racing, and seven other titles are set to be discontinued by January 2024.
Fans have expressed their disappointment on social media, with many drawing parallels to EA’s earlier decision to shut down the original EA Sports UFC (2015) in 2022.
