Blizzard’s popular action RPG, Diablo 4, might be making its way to Nintendo’s next-generation console, Switch 2, according to a report by eXputer writer eXtas1s (via VGC). Known for accurately predicting Game Pass titles, eXtas1s claims that the game is already under development for the new hardware and could see a release in 2025.

This claim builds on previous information from insider NateTheHate, who stated that Microsoft plans to port titles like Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Flight Simulator to the Switch 2. Expanding on this, eXtas1s revealed that Blizzard is actively working on bringing Diablo 4 to the platform, which would continue the franchise’s history on Nintendo consoles. Earlier entries, such as Diablo III: Eternal Collection and Diablo II: Resurrected, are already available on the current Switch.

eXtas1s further speculated that other major titles like Call of Duty, Fallout 4StarfieldTekken 8, and Elden Ring might also be in the pipeline for Switch 2. However, he emphasized that these games are “less certain” compared to Diablo 4.

Microsoft’s strategy of expanding its game library across multiple platforms aligns with these claims. The company announced in early 2024 plans to bring Xbox-exclusive games to PlayStation and Nintendo systems, starting with titles like PentimentHi-Fi RushSea of Thieves, and Grounded.

While the Switch 2 has been officially confirmed, more concrete announcements regarding its game lineup are expected during Nintendo’s upcoming Direct presentation in April. So far, we have only seen Mario Kart 9 as the confirmed title for the Switch 2.
