The popular horror game Dead by Daylight is ending its journey on mobile platforms. NetEase Games, the publisher behind the mobile version, has announced the game will shut down in early 2025 as they shift their focus to other projects.
A Successful Run Coming to an End
Dead by Daylight’s mobile version has been a remarkable success since its launch in April 2020, achieving over one million downloads in just its first 48 hours. The game brought the intense cat-and-mouse gameplay of the original PC version to phones and tablets, allowing players to experience the thrill of survival horror on the go.
Important Dates for Players
Two key dates are crucial for mobile players to remember:
- January 16, 2025: The game will be removed from both the App Store and Google Play Store
- March 20, 2025: Final day of service for Dead by Daylight Mobile
Good News for Players Making the Switch
While the mobile shutdown might disappoint many fans, developer Behaviour Interactive is offering generous compensation for players willing to continue their journey on other platforms. The game remains fully active on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, with regular content updates continuing as usual.
Reward Package Details
Players transitioning to other platforms can claim a welcome package that includes:
Base Rewards:
- 500,000 Bloodpoints
- 2,250 Iridescent Shards
Additional Bonuses Based on Previous Spending:
- Up to 5,000 Auric Cells
- Up to 108,000 Iridescent Shards (for players who spent $200 or more)
- Up to 2 million additional Bloodpoints (based on experience)
