Singapore prepares to host its first-ever major Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament – The BLAST Premier: World Final 2024.
This tournament will feature eight of the globe’s top CS2 teams competing for a substantial prize pool totaling $1 million.
Scheduled to commence on October 30 at the Resorts World Convention Centre in Sentosa, Singapore, the teams will battle intensely for the top prize of $500,000.
Teams
The teams participating in the World Final 2024 include victors from other prestigious CS2 tournaments held throughout the year and highly ranked squads on the BLAST Premier Global Leaderboard. Here are the qualified teams:
Tournament Winners Qualifiers:
- Team Spirit (Winners of BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 and IEM Katowice 2024)
- G2 Esports (BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024 champions)
- Natus Vincere NAVI (PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 victors)
- Team Vitality (IEM Cologne 2024 winners)

Format
The tournament is divided into two main stages: the Group Stage, held from October 30 to October 31, and the Playoffs, running from November 1 to November 3.
Group Stage (October 30-31)
The competition kicks off with a double-elimination GSL format, featuring two groups of four teams:
Group A:
- Astralis
- FaZe Clan
- MOUZ
- Natus Vincere
Group B:
- G2 Esports
- Team Liquid
- Team Spirit
- Team Vitality
In this format, three teams from each group will move on to the Playoffs.
- Group stage winners advance to the Semifinals
- Group stage runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds
- Group stage 3rd place teams advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds
Playoffs (November 1-3)
The Playoffs adopt a single-elimination format, with all matches being best-of-three except the Grand Final, which will be a best-of-five showdown.
The Quarterfinals will feature cross-group matches, where the second and third seeds from each group will face off.
The winners of these Quarterfinals will then progress to the Semifinals, where they will meet the top-seeded teams.
The two victorious teams in the Semifinals will then compete in the Grand Final for the title of 2024 BLAST Premier world champions.
Prize pool
The prize pool of $1 million is divided among the top eight teams as follows:
- 🥇 1st Place: $500,000
- 🥈 2nd Place: $250,000
- 🥉 3rd-4th Place: $85,000 each
- 5th-6th Place: $25,000 each
- 7th-8th Place: $15,000 each
