Corinne Busche, former creative director of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, has joined Wizards of the Coast’s Skeleton Key Studio.

Busche, who spent 18 years at BioWare, left the studio in January 2025 following the underwhelming reception of The Veilguard. She now takes on a new leadership role at Skeleton Key, where she is working on an “unannounced” project.

The news of Busche’s appointment was confirmed by Dan Ayoub, head of digital gaming at Wizards of the Coast, in an interview with Game File. However, Busche has not made any public statements regarding her move.

Skeleton Key Studio, established in 2022 by Wizards of the Coast, is led by Christian Dailey, another BioWare veteran who previously worked as an executive producer on the Dragon Age franchise. The studio focuses on creating “immersive gameplay, unique stories, and thought-provoking moments of suspense and horror that guide players to have fun while facing their fears.”

While details about Busche’s new project remain undisclosed, speculation has already begun. Given that Wizards of the Coast owns the Baldur’s Gate franchise, some believe she could be involved in a potential Baldur’s Gate 4. However, no official confirmation has been made.
