Capcom and TiMi Studio Group Unite for Monster Hunter Outlanders

Capcom teams up with TiMi Studio Group to bring its beloved Monster Hunter franchise to mobile devices.

The new game, called Monster Hunter Outlanders, promises to deliver an authentic hunting experience right in the palm of your hand.

TiMi Studio Group, already famous for creating popular mobile games like Call of Duty Mobile, Pokémon Unite, and Age of Empires Mobile, is taking the lead on this project.

While it follows the free-to-play model common in mobile gaming, players will have the option to enhance their experience through in-app purchases.

The recently released trailer showcases stunning visuals that push mobile gaming boundaries. Players will encounter familiar faces from the Monster Hunter universe, including fan-favorite creatures like Anjanath and Great Jagras.

The game features a vast open world with diverse environments to explore, and players can soar through the air using a glider system reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Flexibility seems to be a key focus for Monster Hunter Outlanders. Whether you prefer hunting monsters alone or teaming up with friends, the game accommodates both playstyles. This approach aligns with producer Dong Huang’s vision of creating an experience that captures the essence of Monster Hunter while incorporating modern gaming elements.

The development team is planning to enhance the traditional Monster Hunter formula by introducing regular world events and community activities.

To ensure the best possible experience, TiMi Studio Group will conduct several playtesting phases before the official launch.

While Monster Hunter Now, an augmented reality game by Niantic, already exists in the mobile space, Monster Hunter Outlanders takes a different approach by offering a more traditional Monster Hunter experience.

For Monster Hunter fans, 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year. Besides Monster Hunter Outlanders, Capcom is preparing to release Monster Hunter Wilds for console and PC players. The PC version has already generated significant buzz, attracting over 463,000 players during its initial release. Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on Xbox, PS5, and PC starting February 28.

While the release date for Monster Hunter Outlanders hasn’t been announced yet, the combination of TiMi Studio Group’s mobile gaming expertise and Capcom’s Monster Hunter legacy suggests an ambitious project that could redefine mobile action gaming.
