Quantic Dream’s critically acclaimed video game, Beyond: Two Souls, is set to be adapted into a television series, with original game actor Elliot Page leading the project. Page’s production company, Pageboy Productions, has acquired the rights from Quantic Dream, aiming to bring the game’s unique and emotional story to a new audience on the small screen.
According to Deadline, the project is currently in the early stages of development. While many details, such as casting and release plans, remain undisclosed, the adaptation is expected to maintain the game’s signature non-linear narrative structure. Fans can anticipate a fresh perspective on the story while staying true to its core themes.
Originally released in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and later available on PlayStation 4 and PC, Beyond: Two Souls was developed by Quantic Dream and directed by David Cage. The game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with supernatural abilities who shares a deep connection with a mysterious entity named Aiden. As she navigates a life filled with government conspiracies and otherworldly dangers, players experience different moments of her journey in a non-linear format. The game also featured renowned actors, including Willem Dafoe (best known for Green Goblin in Spiderman) alongside Page.

David Cage, the game’s creator, has also confirmed his involvement in the TV adaptation, though the extent of his role is not yet clear. Cage stated, “We are absolutely thrilled to collaborate again with Elliot Page on this project. I was blown away by his acting performance in the game, and I couldn’t think of anyone else to tell this story with the same passion on another medium. Beyond: Two Souls is a very special game for millions of players around the world who were moved by the story of Jodie and Aiden, and their journey in life and beyond.”
As video game adaptations gain momentum following the success of series like The Last of Us and Fallout, Beyond: Two Souls joins the growing list of gaming titles making their way to television. Prime Video is set to bring the Warhammer 40k series as well as the God of War series in the future. Last May, Remedy Entertainment also hints at big plans for Alan Wake and Control screen adaptations with the help of Annapurna Interactive.
