Koei Tecmo’s latest game “Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land” has shipped more than 300,000 units globally, making it the fastest-selling title in the Atelier series history.
The RPG just launched last week across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. This impressive milestone shows just how much the franchise has grown over the years.
Koei Tecmo shared the good news in a recent announcement, confirming that Yumia has outpaced all previous Atelier games in initial sales. Pretty impressive for a series that’s been around for more than two decades!
Haven’t tried it yet? There’s a free demo up for grabs on all platforms. The best part? Your save data carries over to the full game, so you won’t lose any progress if you decide to buy it.
The developers aren’t resting on their laurels, though. According to Koei Tecmo, they’re already working on patches to improve the camera, animations, and other aspects of the game based on player feedback.
And here’s something cool for fighting game fans – Atelier Yumia will be getting a special Tekken 8 collaboration in the future. The details are still under wraps, but crossover content between the alchemy-focused RPG and the popular fighting series should be interesting to see.
The game follows Yumia, the newest alchemist protagonist in a series known for its item crafting, exploration, and character-driven stories. Players can expect the usual blend of gathering materials, crafting items, and battling monsters that the series is known for.
With its strong start across all major gaming platforms, Atelier Yumia seems to be bringing fresh energy to the beloved franchise while giving longtime fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for.
