Antstream Arcade, the world’s leading retro gaming streaming service, is officially expanding its reach to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

This exciting news was revealed during the recent Antstream Connect Presentation, where CEO Steve Cottam shared the long-awaited update with fans.

While the exact release date for Antstream on PlayStation remains a mystery, it will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, PlayStation users can add Antstream to their wishlists on the PlayStation Store. The PlayStation Edition of Antstream will offer two subscription plans:

  • Annual Pass: £39.99 / $39.99 / €39.99
  • Lifetime Subscription: £99.99 / $99.99 / €99.99

Antstream Arcade is already available on Xbox Series, PC (through client download and the Epic Games Store), iOS, and Android. A Steam version is also in the works and will be available soon.

What sets Antstream apart is its unique collection of retro games from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, many of which are hard to find elsewhere.

With over 1,300 games available to stream, Antstream’s extensive catalog includes everything from early systems like the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64 to arcade classics and titles from the SNES, Megadrive, and PlayStation One. The platform even hosts newly developed arcade games.

Antstream’s versatility is another key feature, allowing gamers to enjoy their favorite titles on a wide range of devices, including PC, mobile, Xbox, Samsung TV, Linux, tablets, and now PlayStation. Users can also switch between these devices and continue their games seamlessly, thanks to Antstream’s cross-platform compatibility.

Some games on Antstream support multiplayer modes, allowing players to compete or cooperate with others online.

Antstream also offers a unique challenge mode where players can compete in specific tasks within games, such as achieving high scores or completing levels under certain conditions.

However, it’s important to note that not all games available on Antstream may be accessible on PlayStation platforms, so players should keep that in mind when exploring the service.

In addition to the PlayStation launch, Antstream announced the arrival of games developed for Net Yaroze, a development kit released in June 1996 for creating original PlayStation games. While specific titles have not yet been revealed, this addition is sure to excite retro gaming enthusiasts.
