Nintendo has officially announced that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will be released for iOS and Android on December 3, 2024. This launch comes as the original free-to-play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, launched in 2017, prepares to end service on November 28, 2024.
To give fans a way to continue enjoying the game, Nintendo is offering this offline version, which retains all content from the original game while removing microtransactions. This new edition will be available for a one-time price of $9.99 during the first two months, after which the price will increase to $19.99.
Additionally, Pocket Camp Complete will receive one year of support, providing players with new and free updates. Current players of the free version can transfer their progress to the new edition by linking their Nintendo account, ensuring they keep all achievements and items as they transition.
While Pocket Camp Complete is offline, it preserves some social features from the original game. Although players can’t meet friends in real time, they can connect by scanning a friend’s Camper Card. This allows friends to appear at Whistle Pass, a new location where they can share souvenirs and offer in-game assistance.
This approach preserves the essence of the game in a complete offline package, allowing fans to enjoy their beloved game anytime and anywhere.
