Amazon is making some big moves in the cloud gaming world with a multi-year deal with Electronic Arts (EA). This means some of EA’s most popular games are heading to Luna. And that’s not all—Luna is also launching in four new countries.
EA Games Now on Amazon Luna
Starting today, three EA games—Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Dead Space are available for Luna+ subscribers. And this is just the beginning—over the next few months, more EA franchises, including select EA SPORTS titles, will be added to Luna.
David Tinson, Executive Vice President and Chief Experiences Officer at EA, emphasized the importance of this partnership, saying, “Our teams are focused on building experiences that entertain and engage EA’s massive online communities, and we’re excited to partner with Amazon to make those games available to even more people.”
Mustafa Hakim, General Manager of Amazon Luna, shared his excitement, saying, “We are also thrilled to partner with Electronic Arts to bring great games, including player favorites from the EA Sports portfolio, soon to our customers.”
Amazon Luna Expands to More Countries
Luna is also now rolling out in 4 new European countries—Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
With this expansion, Luna is now available in 14 countries, including the US (first in 2022), Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Poland, and the Netherlands.
The expansion allows more players to enjoy Luna’s library of over 300 games across a variety of devices—such as Fire TV, PCs, Macs, iOS and Android mobile devices, and select Samsung and LG smart TVs—without the need for expensive hardware or lengthy downloads.
Extra Perks for Prime Members
For Amazon Prime members in these newly added countries, Luna offers additional perks, including permanent access to titles like Fortnite, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Trackmania, alongside a rotating selection of monthly games at no extra cost.
The Luna+ subscription, priced at $9.99/€9.99 per month (or regional equivalents like $12.99 CAD in Canada), provides access to the full EA titles and over 100 other games, with a 7-day free trial available for new users.
Amazon is also launching the Luna Controller in Sweden, Belgium, and Luxembourg at a special intro price of €44.99 (MSRP of €69.99) / 519.99kr (MSRP of 799.99kr). This controller is built for Luna, connecting directly to cloud servers via Wi-Fi to reduce lag. It’ll also launch in Portugal later this year.
