The year 2024 has been exceptionally difficult for employment across the tech sector, with over 151,000 jobs lost, according to layoff tracker reports. Among these, the gaming industry alone accounted for more than 15,000 job cuts. From small indie studios to large industry giants, no company seemed completely immune to the economic turbulence.
Mass layoffs spanned across more than 160 gaming companies, with some experiencing minor reductions while others had to let go of entire teams.
