Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced a major milestone for ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN as the game celebrates its 6th anniversary. The aerial combat title has surpassed an impressive 6 million units sold worldwide. This achievement pushed the total sales for the ACE COMBAT franchise to over 20 million units globally.

This sales milestone makes ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN one of the most successful entries in the franchise.

In ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN, players take on the role of ace pilots in full 360-degree aerial combat. The game features a narrative-driven campaign and multiplayer modes with highly detailed visuals, realistic weather effects, and meticulously designed terrains.

Since its initial release in January 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the game has expanded its reach to PC via Steam and, more recently, to the Nintendo Switch in July 2024.

IGN awarded it a solid 7.9/10, praising its exciting arcade-style combat, while Steam users have given it an overwhelmingly positive 87% approval rating based on over 47,000 reviews. According to SteamDB estimate, while initial player counts peaked at 13,000 concurrent users during launch, the game maintains a healthy daily player base of 1,000 to 2,000 users as of now.
