After an unexpected decline in December 2024, Honor of Kings has made a strong comeback, reclaiming its position as the highest-earning mobile game. Tencent’s popular MOBA generated approximately $193 million in IAP revenue last month, marking one of its best-performing months. This is a significant rise from the $101 million it earned in December 2024, which was a steep drop from the $150 million average it maintained in previous months.

LastWar: Survival by FUNFLY PTE. LTD. secured the second position with $148.36 million in revenue, maintaining its strong performance from previous months.

Dream Games’ Royal Match followed closely in third place, setting a new record with $144.86 million in earnings, surpassing its previous best of $133 million from August 2024.

Another big mover in January was PUBG Mobile, which recovered from a weaker December to generate $135.1 million in revenue. This marks its best month since January 2023, though still below its peak earnings of nearly $200 million per month during its most successful years in 2020 and 2021.

Established IPs also hold a significant position in the revenue rankings. Roblox secured the sixth position with $119.16 million, followed by MONOPOLY GO! from Scopely, Inc. at $110.85 million. Candy Crush Saga by King continued its consistent performance with $102.21 million in earnings.

CrossFire: Legends, a Tencent title exclusive to China, saw an unexpected surge, earning $57.9 million, its highest monthly revenue since launching in 2015. This increase aligns with previous revenue spikes observed during Chinese New Year celebrations.

Call of Duty: Mobile re-entered the top 20 with its fourth straight month of revenue growth, surpassing the $30 million mark for the first time since August 2024.

Brawl Stars continued its downward trend, dropping $12 million from December, returning to revenue levels seen in early 2024.
