By Sagar V. Mankar Microsoft has unveiled an exciting roadmap of day-one titles arriving on Xbox Game Pass through February 2025. This lineup, spotted by Pure Xbox, showcases some of the most anticipated games that will have players on the edge of their seats.
Which Games Are Making Their Day-One Debut on Game Pass?

Biggest Highlight
The standout among them all is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which will be the first in the series to launch on Game Pass from day one. As the twenty-first installment in the Call of Duty franchise and the seventh main entry in the Black Ops subseries, this game is set to make history. According to a report by The Verge, Xbox has high hopes that Black Ops 6 will give Game Pass subscriptions a significant boost. Sources reveal there was a “long debate” within Xbox on whether to include Black Ops 6 in Game Pass, but the decision was made to capitalize on holiday subscriber growth.
What Else Is Coming?
Avowed, Obsidian Entertainment’s much-anticipated first-person action RPG, is scheduled to hit Game Pass on February 18, 2025. Initially set for a 2024 release, the game is delayed to “give players’ backlogs some breathing room” as Xbox thought “So many games coming!”
Set in the mysterious world of Eora, first introduced in the Pillars of Eternity games, Avowed promises a perilous adventure through the diverse biomes of the Living Lands. Players will face dangerous enemies, wield swords and spells, and make impactful choices with far-reaching consequences.
Meanwhile, Frostpunk 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the hit city-building survival game, is now available for PC Game Pass subscribers. Announced back in August 2021, the game experienced a minor delay from its originally planned July 25 release.
Interestingly, an Xbox post on Instagram briefly showed 33 Immortals set for a January 25, 2025 release. However, the post was swiftly deleted, with the developer later clarifying on Discord that it was a “mistake” and the date is yet to be finalized.

While these nine titles are certainly exciting, they’re just the tip of the iceberg. Xbox Game Pass has a plethora of games lined up for H2 2024 and 2025.
