2024’s Top Grossing and Downloaded Mobile Games So Far

According to MobileGamer-Biz (via Appmagic), Tencent’s Honor of Kings holds the crown as the highest-grossing mobile game of 2024 so far nearly touching the $1 billion gross revenue mark.

When it comes to downloadsRoblox tops the charts, with 115 million downloads so far in 2024.




Top 10 Grossing Mobile Games of 2024

  1. Honor of Kings (Tencent): $961 million
  2. Monopoly Go (Scopely): $704 million
  3. Royal Match (Dream Games): $618 million
  4. PUBG Mobile (Tencent): $615 million
  5. Roblox (Roblox Corp.): $563 million
  6. Candy Crush Saga (King): $530 million
  7. LastWar: Survival (FirstFun): $438 million
  8. Honkai: Star Rail (Mihoyo Games): $380 million
  9. Coin Master (Moon Active): $370 million
  10. Whiteout Survival (Century Games): $369 million

Interestingly, half of the top 10 grossing games are relatively new entries: Monopoly Go, Royal Match, LastWar, Honkai: Star Rail, and Whiteout Survival.

Games like Honor of Kings, Roblox, PUBG Mobile, and Candy Crush Saga have remained steady on the charts due to their continuous updates, strong community support, and effective monetization strategies.




What About the Rest of the Top 20?

Looking at positions 11-20, we see a mix of established titles and rising stars:

  • Genshin Impact (11th) and Pokémon Go (14th) are showing signs of decline
  • Brawl Stars (12th) has made a remarkable comeback
  • Another Tencent game, Dungeon & Fighter Mobile is off to an incredible start since its May release grossed $257 million just in one month and took 15th position. Don’t be surprised if you see it in the top 10 at the end of the year
  • Legend of Mushroom has emerged as a dark horse, securing the 16th spot

Roblox and Subway Surfers continue to dominate downloads with nearly 100 million downloads in just 6 months.

Classic block-matching game Block Blast, created by Hungry Studio, has surprisingly claimed the third spot.

Supercent’s Pizza Ready represents the growing trend of hybrid-casual games.

Free Fire and its Max version saw significant download spikes early in the year due to its large investment in esports.

Royal Match experienced massive install numbers in January and February but has since stabilized.

The 11-20 range includes titles like Build A Queen, Race Master 3D, and Brawl Stars. My Talking Tom 2 and My Talking Tom Friends show steady performance, while PUBG Mobile and Candy Crush Saga maintain their popularity with slight fluctuations.
